This is a fantasy dragon-like creature, living in the ocean. Inspiration came from prehistoric and abyssal fishes. I followed the typical workflow of a 3D character. I modeled the high-poly sculpt in Blender, then brought it to ZBrush for low-poly remeshing and unwrapping. The texturing (including normal baking from hi-poly to low-poly) is made in Substance Painter. Then I rigged the low-poly version in Blender with Rigify. The final renders are made in Octane standalone. In some of them I recreated the look of some noisy footage of abyssal creatures.
